Got a question? Put it to a vote.

Make quick polls for people on Bluesky. Ask anything, give a few answers to pick from, and let the votes settle it. Your first poll is three steps away.

You'll sign in with your Bluesky account on the way. There's no new account to make.

A poll card on AverageVoter asking "What time of day are you the most creative?" with five answers: Early Morning, Late Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Late Night. Early Morning has the only vote so far, at 100%. Below the answers: copy-link and post-to-Bluesky buttons, "Ends in 14 days" and "1 vote total".
A real poll on AverageVoter, with its first vote in.

Your first poll in 1, 2, 3

  1. Sign in with your Bluesky account

Use the handle on your Bluesky profile, the one that looks like alice.bsky.social. Bluesky asks you to approve AverageVoter, then sends you straight back here.

  2. Ask your question

Type the question, add two to ten answers, and say how many days the poll stays open. That's the whole form.

  3. Share it and watch the votes come in

Copy the link or post the poll to Bluesky in one tap. You see the results as they come in. Everyone else sees them once they've voted.

Good to know

  • Your polls and votes are public. Like your Bluesky posts, anyone can see them.
  • Results stay hidden until you vote.
  • Once you vote, you can't change it here, so choose carefully.

Why does a Bluesky account work here?

Bluesky runs on an open network called the AT Protocol, or atproto. Apps on that network share accounts, so the one you use for Bluesky works here too, and so does any other atproto account. Your polls and votes are saved to your own account, not locked away inside AverageVoter.
